Master’s Thesis
In her master's thesis, Valerie examined the potential of self-exposure with a focus on the emergence of resistance based on the three authors Annie Ernaux, Tove Ditlevsen and Helga M. Novak. The thesis dealt with the practice of self-exposure, which, although often painful, offers great potential for defending oneself, engaging in subversive resistance and rebelling. The thesis explores this using prose and poetry, primarily by Helga M. Novak, which moves between wistful nature motifs and harsh reality.

Photography
Photography has always been a way for me to find inspiration and express myself. Whether people, animals, nature or architecture, I mainly shoot analogue and capture moments, angles and stories that make me pause and reflect.
